PEDAGOGICAL CONDITIONS OF FORMATION OF RESEARCH SKILLS OF PRIMARY SCHOOL PUPILS IN MATHEMATICS LESSONS BY MEANS OF INTEGRATED LEARNING

Summary. The article considers the problem of formation of research skills of primary school pupils in mathematics lessons by means of integrated learning. It is noted that the problem of formation of research skills of primary school pupils in mathematics lessons by means of integrated learning becomes especially relevant in the conditions of introduction of the competence approach in primary school. The formation of students’ general research skills is one of the indicators that indicates the formation of mathematical competence in general. It is substantiated that since competence is a quality of personality that is manifested in knowledge, skills, abilities, experience and values, it is expedient in the formation of mathematical competence in students are the means of integrated learning. Within the study, the means of integration means the content of educational tasks that integrate knowledge from different educational fields, as well as methods of activity that are common to different subjects. The pedagogical conditions for the formation of students’ research skills are revealed and the stages of the pedagogical experiment are highlighted, in which certain conditions were provided. The content of the experimental work took into account the cognitive needs of second-graders, which stimulated their activity; students learned to analyse, compare, highlight, apply acquired skills. Different types of integrated tasks that provided the formation of a set of research skills are indicated, and their examples are given. Group forms of cooperation provided an increase in children’s interest in learning mathematics and the level of formation of research skills of students, gaining experience of teamwork and the formation of the value of common cause. The materials can be used by teachers in the formation of research skills in second-graders by means of integrated learning, in particular, in lessons that integrate the content of mathematics, science and language and literature education.
