Abstract

Summary. The article discusses the main concept of “virtual workspace,” its areas of use, and key aspects. The author reveals the main problems, advantages, and disadvantages of using virtual workspaces in the process of training history teachers. The author analyzes modern technologies for creating virtual work environments and their impact on the educational process. The article examines in detail the virtual workspaces Discord and Spot, highlighting their main advantages, which include interactivity, the ability to access the workspace from any device, and the individualization of learning. The article reveals the possibilities and potential scenarios for using virtual workspaces, such as using servers, roles on servers within the Discord service, or room differentiation in the Spot service. It describes the unique features of each workspace, their advantages and disadvantages in the process of training future history teachers. Special attention is paid to the material aspect of these workspaces in terms of accessibility for use without significant financial contributions, as well as the availability of these services on major operating systems such as Windows, MacOS, Android, and iOS. Significant attention is given to the bot system in the Discord service and the possibility of integrating them with various neural networks, such as Google Gemini and Chat-GPT. The immersive component of the Spot service is also highlighted, where you can use built-in tools to create the interior or layout of real existing premises of a real institute. This article is advisory in nature and should be useful for educators who seek to integrate modern technologies into the educational process, particularly for the training of history teachers. The article discusses virtual workspaces – Discord and Spot, which can potentially be used in the process of training future history teachers.
