MODERN APPROACHES TO ORGANIZING BLENDED LEARNING IN HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS AND THEIR EFFECTIVENESS

Abstract

Summary. The article analyzes contemporary challenges and key trends in the education of Ukraine and Europe in the context of technological progress and globalization. Particular attention is paid to the transformations caused by the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, which has led to an emphasis on the safety and continuity of the educational process through online platforms. At the same time, the article examines broader European trends in the implementation of innovative technologies, such as artificial intelligence and virtual reality, as well as the growing importance of developing "soft skills." Among the main educational trends, the text highlights the individualization of learning, the development of digital competencies, project-based activities, and interdisciplinarity. It is emphasized that alongside general European trends, Ukraine shows a particular focus on the development of resilience and adaptability. A separate emphasis is placed on the growing role of blended learning, which is becoming increasingly relevant for Ukrainian higher education institutions. In the article notes that the formation of blended learning in Ukraine is regulated at the state level and at the level of individual higher education institutions, which indicates its institutionalization and recognition as an important component of modern educational practice. The introduction of blended learning is seen as a response to the challenges of ensuring the accessibility and flexibility of education, combining the advantages of both classroom and distance learning. At the same time, the article underscores existing challenges, such as the digital divide and the need for high-quality teacher training for working in blended learning environments. The changing role of the teacher in the context of blended learning requires new approaches to pedagogical design and the organization of the educational process. Additionally, the article includes the results of a survey conducted among students of Drohobych Ivan Franko State Pedagogical University regarding the organization of blended learning. Thus, the article emphasizes that blended learning is a key trend in the development of modern education in Ukraine, which requires further research, the development of effective methodologies, and overcoming existing obstacles for its successful implementation.
