THE PROBLEM OF SCHOOL CHOICE IN AUSTRIA

The article deals with the analysis of the main causes of changes in the gymnasium system in Austria; the influence of social factors on the school choice is shown; the differences between the public and private sectors of education system are highlighted; the difficulties of school choice procedure are scrutinized; the school choice opportunities for children whose parents belong to various reli-gious groups are analyzed.
