On the basis of the analysis of historical sources and archival documents it has been disclosed cultural and historical background of the formation and development of music education in Transcarpathia (1919 – 1939). It was influenced by regional traditions of music-making, personal impact of outstanding people in the field of art and culture. It was established that the effectiveness of the music art development was defined by the level of professional training of musicians. The value of professional training of musicians was underlined and this fact influenced on the implementing musicians’ practice combining related branches of science and training.
