The article described the structure of the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Cyprus, purpose and content of professional training of philologists were analyzed in the field of native language in the Department of Byzantine and Modern Greek Studies and the Department of Classical studies and Philosophy in the late 20th and early 21st century.
